Covid-19 and what have we learnt?

Wow, what a crazy last three months we have been apart of. Who would have thought entering the year 2020 that basically the whole world shut down due to a virus called Covid-19. From our gym perspective it was an extremely difficult time, because we had started the year on such a positive note. We were up almost 50% in new Members, everyone was progressing so well and then out of no where BANG, shut the doors and we shall tell you when you can come back.

I want to take this time to thank our Members, especially those that stuck by us in these trying times as we definitely Wouldn't have survived if it wasn't for you guys. Also those that couldn't support us due to financial difficulties of losing your own jobs etc, I hope you guys have also made it through this dark time and are coming out the other side with us. I would also like to thank our Landlord Laura Harcoan for being so supportive during this time, I honestly couldn't be more great full, thank you Laura.

So what can we take away from this time as human beings? Something I have learnt is we all need to have a lot more empathy and patience for our fellow humans. All the craziness that is going on in the World right now is just ...well crazy. We need to think about others, have more compassion and educate ourselves on all things being a good person.

As for the gym going forward, what can we expect and how will it be done? Well this is an ever evolving situation that I am trying to stay on top of. So from the 22nd of this Month kids under 18 can resume full contact training. So that means from next Monday we can kick off all of our kids Programs. Teens Jiu Jitsu, Kids Jiu Jitsu & Toddlers Jiu Jitsu. On top of this we will also be putting on more Boot Camps for the next month. So what you will see from next Monday is when the kids or Teen classes are on, we will also be running Boot-camps out the back of the gym. And on Monday & Wednesday Nights we will do two Boot Camps, one out the back during kids classes and one inside at 6pm.

I will be sending an email to all Members outlining all the new requirements that will be in place moving forward, its been exhausting learning about them but definitely worth it. I think going forward our industry and the World will be in a much better place in regards to personal Hygiene, Gym and Public cleanliness.

So to wrap this up, thank you all again for your love and support over this trying guys are the real MVP's. I love this gym and everything it represents and I cant wait to get back in there and continue the Journey with you all. New Clients wanting to change your life, shoot me a message, you wont regret it. Much Love Luke
